After early breakfast, this morning, check out and drive to Nubra Valley (115 km approx). Today, we will drive through Khardung La which is claimed to be the highest motorable road in this world (Altitude of 18,380 ft). The pass offers amazing views of the valley and the roads winding up the mountain. The pristine air, scenic vistas and the feeling of being on top of the world have made Khardung La a popular tourist attraction. After Leisurely breakfast vist Turtuk (Turtuk was opened to tourists in 2009). The village offers views of Beautiful Valley, part of the Shyok Valley. Though a Muslim village, there are a few gompas located on the plateau above the Shyok River and there is an old royal house to see in the village. Turtuk is one of the few places in India where one can witness Balti culture, and one can find a few homestays and guest houses in the village. After breakfast this morning, check out from your hotel as we drive you to Pangong lake, 3 idiots movie fame (160 kms). Enroute visit to Diskit monastery and have the wonderful view of Nubra valley. Later drive to Pangong lake via Shayok .Enjoy the turquoise color panoramic lake and the magnificent mountains and landscapes which will leave you awestruck. We shall be waking up early today to witness one of the most beautiful sunrise in India on this magnificent Lake. Later enjoy your breakfast and bid goodbye to this mesmerizing place.
