Start your journey and reach Jamnagar, check in and later visit Bala Hanuman Temple, Lakhota Lake, Khijadia Bird Sanctuary. Over Night stay at hotel. Jamnagar has a wide reserve of natural parks and sanctuaries. The one and only marine sanctuary in entire India, the Marine National Park, is near Jamnagar, on the coral reef island of Pirotan. Khijada Bird Sanctuary, Gaga Wildlife Sanctuary and Peter Scott Nature Park are also differ other eco-systems to visit in Jamnagar. Jamnagar also has four major famous marble Jain temples: Vardhman Shah's Temple, Raisi Shah's Temple, Sheth's Temple and Vasupujya Swami's Temple. The Bala Hanuman temple in Jamnagar is very renowned as it is in the list of The Guinness Book of World Records for the longest continuous chanting of "Ram Dhun", since 1 August 1964. The Lakhota Tower is another travelling spot in the Lakhota Lake and was built for drought relief during the reign of Jam Ranmalji. Pirotan Island - The Pirotan Island is a treasure land of the marine species and exotic birds. You will find beautiful corals, octopus, starfish, jellyfish, sea horse, puffer fish, huge turtles, dolphins, marine flowering plants, etc. These are the main attractions for the tourists to find many rare species in the pristine nature.For the tourists, the best time to travel to the Pirotan Island is from October to April. Narana Marine National Park - India’s first Marine Wildlife Sanctuary and first Marine National Park were built in the Gulf of Kutch in 1980 and 1982, respectively. It is an atoll of 42 tropical islands along the northern coast of Jamnagar district and the southern coast of Kutch.
Most of the finest coral reef fringe islands are found at Pirotan, Narala, Ajad and Positara, with species of hard and soft coral. There are 7 species of mangrove which are breeding grounds for colonies of near-threatened species of birds such as Painted Stork, Darter and Black-necked Ibis. Kirti Mandir - It is a memorial dedicated to the father of the nation, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi. The memorial is next to the three storied blue haveli where the Mahatma was born. The memorial holds life size oil paintings of Mahatma Gandhi and Kasturba Gandhi. The memorial is the main attraction for people visiting Porbandar.
Madhavpur Beach - It is home to a two-decade long conservation project of Green Sea and Olive Ridley turtles: both endangered marine species included in Schedule-1 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act, 1972.According to the Forest department, over 10,000 baby turtles have been safely released in the Arabian Sea this year.Ever since the conservation work began nearly 20 years ago, around 2 lakh baby turtles have been released into the sea.
